Responsible for the day-to-day technical support of the core banking system and other applications ensuring system stability and enhanced performance. This role entails the controlled resolution of operational incidents and problems (deviations from planned or expected core banking operations), the drawing in of specialized expertise wherever appropriate, and the provision of advice and information aimed at minimizing the occurrence and impact of service incidents through process improvement.


Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum of two-three years' experience in ICT Department in a financial institution.

• Knowledge of Orbit-R Core Banking System.

• Experience in Designing. Developing and deploy CBS reports using Crytal report tool.

• Good knowledge of technical infrastructure and its interdependencies.

• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure and its interdependencies. Banking experience or awareness of the bank's products, services, and business.

• Relational database management skills (Oracle, MSSQL and MySQL).

• Proven experience to handle pressure and work under stress in emergencies.

• Knowledge of Application Programming interfaces (APIs)

• People management skills

• Assist in database designs, update, and amend existing database. Monitor database performance, availability, and efficiency. Create complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted. Support users and maintain databases by identifying and solving database requirements.

• Perform data backups and other data recovery and resilience procedures such as database replication and restoration of data.

• Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters, implementing new releases, completing maintenance requirements, and promoting process improvements.

• Perform system End of day. End of month and End of year for Core Banking System and related Channels.

• Set up, test, and support new databases and data handling systems like a data warehouse that will support BRAC's Business intelligence (BI) and analytic system requirements.

• Support backend /frontend troubleshooting of end of day and normal operation of core banking system and other applications/channels. Channels support (Mobile USSD, Agent etc.)

• IT project Support
